How do I sign up for (log in to) Online Banking and Bill Payment if I have never logged in before with my member number?

When you open your account, Sun East provides you with information you need to sign up for Online Banking. To get set up, the first time you log into Online Banking you will click on the First Time User button to go to a registration screen where you will enter your Member Number and Personal Identification Number (PIN). (Please note: If you are not already an active online banking user, your PIN number would be the same as your SUNNY, bank-by-phone or automated teller service, PIN. If you do not know what your SUNNY PIN is, please call Sun East at 877-578-6327.)

After you accept the terms, you will be prompted to select a Username and Password. Keep in mind that it is a good idea to use complex passwords to keep your account safe.

To conform to multi-factor authentication regulatory guidelines and for enhanced security, Sun East’s Online Banking service will require you to verify your device with an Access Code. When you go through the prompts, you will be asked to choose how you would like to receive the Access Code. You may choose the method that best suits your needs, either phone or email. After the initial login, you will be able to set your account to receive text messages also.

For your convenience, you will be able to register your computer or device, so you will not have to go through the verification process on subsequent logins. It is important to remember to only register personal, trusted devices. DO NOT register a public computer or device.

Why is it necessary to verify my computer/device with an Access Code?

The Access Code, also referred to as Enhanced Login Security, is an added security measure to help protect members’ accounts and information. Fraudsters have become increasingly more sophisticated in finding ways to try and access information. By adding another layer of authentication, we can better confirm that you are the one logging into your online banking account.

Keep in mind, you are able to register your computer or device, so you will not have to go through the verification process on subsequent logins; however, it is important to remember to only register personal, trusted devices. DO NOT register a public computer or device.
